Help me save my brother from himself.
So about an hour ago I heard him singing [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPU8OAjjS4k]this audio feces.[/url] He also likes Nickleback and christian rock.
I'm beginning to lose hope for him. Every time I try to show the kid real rock, or even decent rap, he dismisses it or refuses to listen. I tried to play Tupac, and he thought Tupac didn't have enough swag. I played Queens of the Stone Age, and he told me it was too creepy. I played Queen, and he said "What are these guys, gay?". Even Zeppelin sounded too "old timey" for the guy. LED FREAKING ZEPPELIN. I tried to get him to listen to Black Sabbath's Paranoid album and he just asked if I was a satanist or something, then told me "I can lose a brother, but god doesn't want to lose a sheep."
He's 13.
How do I save this kid?

Honestly, I used to listen to Nickelback and 3 Doors Down when I was thirteen. I don't anymore. He'll grow out of it. Also; quit being such a music [url=http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law]-godwinslaw!-[/url].

I was never into that crap :p Hell, when I started actually listening to music I was into classical stuff, then slowly moved up to more genres etc.

well he's 13, for a 13 year old, things could be a hell of a lot worse. i listened to somewhat similar shit when i was younger. taste grows and changes. who knows, in 10 years i might even consider tool or qotsa just as bad nickelback, though i doubt it.

He's 13 and you expect his ears to accept good music. I hated all music in every form until I was 15, and even then I was very selective. I still only have about 50 songs, and I probably don't listen to them as much as I should.

you have to get him into gate-way music. try having him listen to Fuel, Staind, maybe beck. if he likes them and begins to listen to them, introduce him to Red hot chili peppers after a bit. if he like that then try to either head to rock or early rap.
