the real plothole is that morgoth was 1,000,000 times worse than sauron. sauron was a minor fire angel who was corrupted into a balrog and morgoth's leuitenant. he was weakened to a good degree. why didn't the wizards just b*tchslap him into the void, being that they're the human forms of the greater-middle class of angels?
