So my face is horribly scarred. Opinions?
So a few weeks ago I had to have an excisional biopsy on my face (pro-tip: wear sun screen, kids). Anyway, I took the bandages off a few days ago and there is a scar on my face. While I'm glad that the surgeons removed the mole, I have noticed that a lot of people are looking at me now - and my introverted nature can only assume that they're judging my scar.
What do you think, Flood? Is it [i]that [/i]bad? (right cheek). I am curious more than anything. It bothers me.

That's hardly horribly scarred.

Scars are fine, people might feel a little self conscious about them but think of them more as badges of honour for having life kick TRHF in the giblets and TRHF kept going. I know a few people with pretty scarred faces but in a weird way it's not really noticeable. When I was little I fell on the playground and shredded my Chin open, then after the stitches finally came out I fell on the ice and ripped it all open again. The scar used to be pretty visible but it never bothered me, and still doesn't. It's mostly faded now so TRHF can only see it if I jut my chin forwards/up.

As others have said, just give it time, I have a scar in the same spot, but on my left cheek. I got bit in the face by a dog when I was a kid, now its barely noticeable.

The scar will gradually fade away over time, you'll be barely able to notice it in a few months.

You look great! Really, it doesn't detract from your face at all. I've had similar operations all over my body. If you are still worried, I can tell you that my scars all faded significantly after a few months.

It really isn't bad at all, and trust me, I would definitely tell you if it was. But no, it honestly doesn't look terrible. But it does look bad....ass. Chicks dig scars, and yours looks almost like a fight scar, but not in a "I get into fights" kinda way, but more of a, "I was defending a little old lady from a mugger" kind of way. Looks good.
