Note: I'm not posting any download links or any videos that contain download links. Even though 1.5 is technically an unreleased, scrapped, beta build of a game, I'm not going facilitate the distribution of leaked content.
For those who don't know what RE 1.5 is, allow me to explain. Basically it's an unfinished build of Resident Evil 2 that was scrapped when it was about 80% done. It's kinda like Star Fox 2 for the SNES, except that game was basically finished when it was scrapped.
It had a different plot and different environments. Most notably, the RPD station looks more like a modern police station than RE2's repurposed art museum. Characters were different; instead of Clair, there's a lady named Elza Walker. And other characters like Marvin the cop who died pretty quickly in RE2 were much more prominent in RE1.5.
Why was 1.5 scrapped? Simple. The developers were unsatisfied with it. And rather than make changes to the current build, they decided to completely start over from scratch.
Now, why is this important? Well, it might not be important, but it's certainly interesting. For years, all we had of this game were screenshots and scraps of gameplay footage. Star Fox 2 was eventually leaked, and for years RE 1.5 was just out of reach. Now, it's finally out, and it's exciting. The game is being rebuilt.
I know it's late to be discussing it, but as fan of the old-school RE games, the possibility of playing this game is awesome. Don't get me wrong; I love the RE2 we got. But still, I really want to play 1.5.

Dem tank controls are why I can't replay older RE games. So bad. That's why RE4 is so superior, it has the horror and B-movie feel of the older games while not playing like shit.
