Xbox one
Not a Sony fanboy, just wondering why people even want to get an Xbox one

Because I have a 360.. And I like the Xbox one games coming out. I could care less about the actual system and what is has or doesn't have.

I've been with Microsoft. I have no reason to switch really, they have treated me well. That doesn't mean Sony cant do that for me as well, I just don't see the point in abandoning something that I haven had trouble with.

5 RepliesAs an unbiased gamer, I'll give you 10 reasons: 1. Cost isn't a factor. I earn enough money to live comfortably and make the occasional large purchase. 2. Legacy. I have a 7+ year account on Xbox LIVE with a whopping Gamerscore of almost 75,000. That's dedication to my games, and I want to carry that on. 3. My friends, both online and in person, will be getting the Xbox One as well. Some will be getting the PS4, some will be getting both (like me). 4. Forza Motorsport is better (in my opinion) than Gran Turismo. 5. I want to see where Halo is taken in the next console generation. 6. The controller looks far more appealing. 7. Exclusives which I think I will enjoy. 8. Willingness to try Kinect 2.0 and see what the tech is capable of. 9. I like the design of it over the PS4. 10. I prefer the Xbox One's UI over the PS4.

Controller Skype Snap Kinect 2 Some exclusives Not saying that there's stuff they don't both have. Just that some people prefer what Xbox One's got to offer whereas other people prefer what the PS4 has to offer and then snobs with the need for perfection (actually not a bad personality trait unlike what some people think) prefer "glorious PC super master race extraordinaire" And some people just want a Wii U or an Ouya or a Steam Box or the Occulus Rift. Even though they shouldn't really be standalone consoles but paired with one of the other consoles but whatever. Some people are sticking with current gen because they're poor and unfortunate. No other reason really because if you don't like next gen consoles and can't afford a PC then you're just unfortunate.

Same reason why people want the PS4; exclusives and personal preference. I'd probably get an X1 if I was interested in any of their exclusives and wanted to spend that much for a console that probably isn't much different from PS4.

25 RepliesThe only real reason is the exclusives. It's not like the console is anything special, like it used to be. The only exclusives worth my time are Halo, Titanfall, Project Spark and maybe Forza. Other than that, Sony is the path I'm going this gen. Too many great games I missed out on.

27 RepliesGood question. Xbox1 looks like something straight out of a 1984 dystopian novel. The camera is required, they say it'll always be on. And in todays technologically advanced age, someone could easily hack the cam and spy on your whole family. Not to mention the recent revelations by Snowden which proves our 4th amendment is non-existent now, so big brother will be watching you.

- New kinect. Controlling the xbox with it seems amazing and I am hopeful for the games that will come out for it. - Upgraded controller. Looks like it will feel even better in my hands than the 360 controller. The rumble triggers, new dpad and new analog sticks all win major points with me. - Games. The games really will be mainly the same on both consoles but I'll like to keep following halo and see what the other microsoft ip's play like. - Community. I've seen and experienced the nintendo, sony, and microsoft communities for their respective consoles. The xbox community suits me the best when comparing all online experiences. - UI. Love it. Clean. Simple. Lively. - Time spent. I've been with xbox for a while. I'm doing fine with it so far. That's pretty much it other than my friends getting it too.

Controller. I want my gamerscore to continue. PSN servers are laggy. Friends are also buying the Xbox One.

It is going to be amazing. The controller is way better the kinect integration making your tv and xbox work together is cool and little things like being able to connect controllers through the kinect instead of having to press the sync button and how even if you physically change controllers with a friend the controller will automatically change players and also being able to scan prepaid cards with the kinect instead of putting in a code is nice too. I don't really like the PS4 that much so far but I guess it's just down to personal preference everyone has their reasons.

Because I made my mind up from reading into what it'll offer me. I plan on getting a PS4 a few years after anyway.

I've been on the 360 for a long time. I like being a legacy member. I like that my stuff carries over. I have both an Xbox 360 and a PS3. I like the 360's online service better than the PS3's. This is subjective, but me, Sony has lagged behind on their service, and I don't see them catching up anytime soon. They are now just introducing cross-game chat, while Microsoft has had it for a long time. While Sony is playing catch up, Microsoft will be improving their service. Other than that, I'm looking forward to several exclusive titles. Halo 5, Deadrising 3, Below, Titanfall. Interested in others like project spark, Crimson Dragon, Sunset Overdrive. I could ask why you want to get a PS4, and I'm sure it'd come down to 'price' and the list of exclusives you want. I understand the price disparity, but that isn't what it should ultimately come down to. Innovation is what you want in the next generation, and I don't see that happening with the PS4. Microsoft is atleast is trying. For a $100, innovation is worth it.
