Vita's game library is still shit. I don't see why anyone would buy this.
-
Well, it beats the Ouya... That thing will be a distant memory once Google's Android console drops.
-
where are the gaems?
-
I remember when Nintendo let you play your Gba games on you gamecube. I wonder why they don't do that with the current generation....oh wait its because it didnt do well.
-
Sony: GIVE US MORE MONEY! Sony Fanboys: Yeah take that M$! What the living -blam!-?
-
Microsoft's net income: US$21.86 billion Sony's net income: US$458 million "R.I.P. Microsoft"? lolno
-
How did I not see this thread? Damn my terrible internet cutting on and off all the time. I think it's great. I would definitely buy one as a streaming device and as a console version of the Vita.
-
Yeah that looks cool and all but will it be lunched here in the west? If so I might try it out.
-
This is marketed towards a very limited market. It's a $100 machine that let's you play handheld games on your TV. It has a slot for those handheld games. So, only people with a PSP or VITA will find this of any use. We don't know the monetization of older games, if it will come via a subscription, or pay per game or some other way. We also don't know how well this will work. We don't know when these older games will even become available. This all sounds linked to Gaikai the PS4 streaming service which won't be available until sometime in 2014.
-
So PS4 is basically adding all this stuff you need to pay for? lol can't wait for fanboy reactions, PS4 and Xbox one will basically cost the same for what they offer. For me its going to come down to if the Kinect is worth it (and from what I've seen Kinect looks pretty cool, at least a lot less gimmicky then the Play Station Eye). I thought I'd be leaning PS4 but I'm just not sure now. Good thing I'll be waiting a month or two.
-
So let me make sure I am understanding this correctly. You are paying around $100 for a device that enables you to play handheld games on a TV. So instead of them just adding some software and a port that enables you to just hook up a wire to your TV and Vita similar to how you can hook up a laptop to a monitor/TV they decided this was the best route. Wow explain to me again how this is supposed to kill Microsoft. As for the Ouya that thing was a joke from the start.
-
lolno
-
Meh, still better than the Ouya master race!
-
Ouya is still a thing?
-
Server lists.
-
So... where's the Sony-clones ripping apart Sony for gouging them out of more money like they're so ready to do for Microsoft? I smells me some hypocrisy.
-
-
Yeah, but I bet you have to buy every game over again.
-
Didn't they just render their PSVita useless with this?
-
I'm interested if it comes out to be around $100. Another thing I think would be interesting is that if it comes out to a cheap price, it almost could become a dedicated streaming device for Netflix and other services. It was crazy how many people used to buy Wii's just for Netflix access.
-
guys...if the vida and all this is so "lolyeahrightfail", why bother even commenting? Just let this thread die.
-
Colour me interested
-
Xbox 1 - $500 with the Kinect and controller and headset included and you get the full experience PS4 - $400 you get the PS4 and a controller, for the full experience you need 1 of many PS Vita's, the PS Move and PS TV. Nice marketing Sony. Xbox all the way.
-
Edited by Quantum Leap: 9/9/2013 9:24:02 PMI don't think this will essentially kill Microsoft, but what the -blam!- is Ouya?
-
I liked the day with PS but this, no.
-
You're telling me I can now play all 5 Vita games on my TV?!?! Holy shit!
