What is "The City"?
This is a map showing the linguistic divide by region in the United States ([url=http://www.businessinsider.com/22-maps-that-show-the-deepest-linguistic-conflicts-in-america-2013-6?op=1]source here -- a few other interesting linguistic divide maps here as well[/url]).
Do you think that this map will change significantly following the release of Destiny, such that large swaths of the country will think that "The City" is the last stronghold of humanity after the fall of the Golden Age?

I think of the City in Destiny more as the Last City. That way, I don't get the linguistic confusion you're talking about.

I'm guessing its somewhere in Asia. It looked like the traveler was over a very large continent, which I think is Asia.

Well we know its not Chicago as we can "visit the swamps of old Chicago." That ones out I would say... Now for the rest of them.
