Since we seem to be permitted to discuss thing like this I thought I'd make a thread on this.
Do you think that parents should be allowed to have their child circumcised while they are still an infant? I personally don't think they should, the child can't consent to this and it's kind of violating his bodily integrity. An arguments I hear is "religious freedom" but doing this to a non consenting child could well be a violation of their religious freedom because they could grow up to be an atheist for all we know.
Basically I think it shouldn't be allowed to be done to children who are unable to consent. Once you're at legal adult age then sure you can do it if you really want to, it's your body.

So no, it shouldn't be operated on newborn infants who cannot make conscientious decisions. BTU MUH HELTH BENEFITS That's great circumcision has subsequent health benefits, but so does eating healthily. Do we arbitrarily force people to eat fruit and vegetables because it's good for them? No, it's their individual choice, and their body, and they can choose to do how they please with it.
