While "The Dark Knight" remains my favourite movie of all time (followed closely by "The Empire Strikes Back"), I must say that "The Dark Knight Rises" is a much better Batman film.
What are your thoughts? Which one is your favourite?

Dark knight was cool

Dark knight had Heath Ledger.. No more must be said

The Dark Knight....All because of Heath Ledger.

The Dark Knight....All because of Heath Ledger. Miss ya, buddy.

The Dark Knight is very close to overtaking Pulp Fiction's place on the IMDB top 250. You know it has to be one of the best movies ever when it's up in the big leagues on the list.

Heath ledger's joker is the greatest villain I've ever seen in a superhero movie. TDK > TDKR > BB

I hate TDR.

Edited by Winters Darkseid: 9/25/2013 11:43:15 PMThe Dark Knight, by far. As far as origin stories go, Man of Steel was better than Batman Begins. The Dark Knight Rises was good, but Bane... he was just... I couldn't take him seriously. The Joker was this insane, yet charismatic lunatic, yet Bane was just... Idk, I just didn't like him.

The Dark Knight. BB just felt strange. Liam Neeson was good as always but him being the villain was strange and the lack of closure for Scarecrow pissed me off. They only closed it up in the beginning of the Dark Knight(which left me feeling cheated) and gave him a cameo in TDKR. Bane was a great villain but he death was sh*t. So was Talia's. Although the showdown in the streets was pretty badass. But TDK could''ve been the ending and it would've been better for it. TDKR was good but had problems that kept it from being great. Bane and Talia's deaths, the pacing problems, Bruce going through the same character arc twice(not to mention the plothole with that robotic leg of his), and the forced romance between Bruce and Selina at the end. TDK had Joker, who was simultaneously funny and terrifying, and Two Face and their stories worked. How they got rid of the Joker sucked though. Overall though the trilogy does a sh*tty job with character send offs and deaths. They're good movies but have too many problems and plotholes that keep them from being truly great in my eyes.

Edited by Elrond Hubbard: 9/25/2013 11:14:56 PMI remember Batman Begins being my least favorite, mainly due to the shaky too-zoomed-in camera during the fight scenes. It made me dizzy and it was difficult to follow the fight scenes, which actually looked like they were choreographed pretty well. The Dark Knight was just perfection. The Dark Knight Rises was my second-favorite. I originally thought the ending could be darker, or at least leave Bruce/Batman's survival in doubt. It ESPECIALLY doesn't make sense that, like, the richest man who ever lived could just fake his own death and show up at a cafe a few days later, with no questions asked about why he looks exactly like the hyper-rich almost-celebrity guy who just died. I'm still bugged about how Bruce and Bane could just go back and forth between Gotham and the prison just like *that.* Bane, while not being nearly as compelling as the Joker, was at least memorable for his appearance (mask, etc), voice, and quotes. It's sometimes a bit difficult to take him seriously, though, just because he sounds so much like a posh old British gentleman, and that's just silly.
