Battlefield 4 looks boring.
So i just got done playing the BF4 beta on xbox 360, I have to say I am unimpressed. I get the fact that its just a beta, and it won't look as good on current gen consoles, but the gameplay looks and feels exactly like BF3. It just feels like BF3 with slightly better physics and new maps. They might as just name it battlefield 3.5, because that's all it is.

Or are game companies just throwing the word around to get some hype? I ask because I watched some gameplay videos of this "Beta", and compared to the many past Beta tests that I've been a part of, this BF4 "Beta" looks like it's just a shitty demo than an actual Beta Test.

That's all a next game ever is..? It wouldn't be BF is they drastically changed everything. New games are just the old game with new stuff. It's pretty much expected so you shouldn't be surprised.

All I know is the beta crashed every time I tried to join a server on PC, and that reminded me how shitty EA's track record has been over the last couple of years, and I canceled my preorder, both of the game and the Premium service.

After Bad Company 2 DICE should have made BF3 do a Black OPS 2. Which is bringing the game to a more future setting. After each game the setting gets a more Sci-Fi feeling. Really. After the 1st Bad Company each game after it was nothing more than a DLC. There's hardly any changes between the games to make them a full fledged game. Bad Company 2 is the 1st game just with updated destruction and regenerating health. BF3 is Bad Company 2 with better customization, jets and nerfed destruction. So far BF4 looks just like BF3, but the only major change is the Commander mode.

7 RepliesNo need to completely change something thats good. Those who love BF series have a blast due to gameplayer and wouldn't want an overhaul. Its not for everyone and doesn't give change a reason. After all we don't another Halo-343 incident in other series.....

Considering the player jump when I buy it for the One, it'll be pretty different for me. I know I'll enjoy playing it with my friends.

2 RepliesYeah, I'm disappointed they didn't change more too. But really? What are you going to change? Nothing unless you make a new sub-series. Will definitely be worth $20-30 later on.
