So my laptop ingested a metric arseton of Windows updates yesterday. This morning, it installed them properly before I got down to the importance business of doing nothing on Bnet.
Next thing I know, laptop's more sluggish than ever, to the point where the picture won't change in videos and the sound sort of stutters a lot. Then, it froze.
So I held down the power to turn it off. Now, it won't do anything besides startup repair. I can't even load safe mode, it goes to that after I hold down F8 and choose it.
Halp plz. :(

Windows button search %tempun% (lel but really do search %temp%) delete all those files. Still slow? ctrl+alt+delete and see which program is taking up the most memory that you aren't using and close it. Still slow? Too bad, That's all i got.

Run the Startup Repair. It'll start doing its thing, then ask if you want to run System Restore. Click yes, then pick a restore point from before you installed the updates, ie, last week. Hopefully that'll repair your system.

You could try reloading your bios.

Its overheated. Just pour water on it to cool it off. If you have a pool, dunk it in the pool.

What os are you running?

Do you have a back-up copy of windows? Try reinstalling that. Also, try booting up from a USB stick operating system, back up your files and then do it.
