...when Halo 3 has more players than Halo 4 when Halo 3 becomes "free to play" on October 16th? Of course, they've already announced that they will be making no changes to the playlists or game due to "legacy tech" despite giving everyone Recon armor not too long ago.
Just for the record, Halo: Reach recently relinquished its spot in the top 20 titles on XBL in the last Major Nelson population statistic updates. Halo 4 is currently a whopping number 13 on the charts.
If Halo 3 does obtain a high spot on the charts, how long do you think it will stay that way?

Nobody is gonna play Halo 3 regularly like everyone did in 2007 to early 2010. The game had its prime time and now its over. The game will never exceed a 10k population ever again.
