I asked my teacher and he said I should have already had the essay finished, so I'd just need someone to print it out for me.
I was still finishing stuff up though, is it fair to be expected to turn in an essay on time if you've gone blind?
He also seems to expect that I already know touch typing. Yeah I'm in college, but I've still always needed to glance down occasionally to continue typing fast.
Do you know touch typing, how old are you?

I don't get it, if you are going blind then how would you read the replies to this thread? I can type without looking due to a typing class that I took in high school, however, I still make mistakes that I would only spot after reading the text on screen.
-
Human logic: Of course, because you couldn't see! Professor logic: HURR YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD IT DONE BEFORE THEN HURR.
-
Screw the screen. Look at that keyboard yo!
-
Go away. You're supposed to be blind.
-
I'm 29 and I still look at the keybored every now and then...
-
Pfft, I can only type fast by staring at the keyboard. And I pretty much only use one hand.
-
No need to look down unless something goes wrong. Maybe my mothers nagging did have some benefits.
-
da fuk. this is irrational

-
Pretty sure all homework is null and void after you go Blind or Deaf.
-
Get a doctors note.

All of my what
-
Guys, what about touch typing? Do you know how to do it?
-
-
Ummm....I hope you aren't thinking about blinding yourself to get out of doing homework. Seriously, that's a little rash.
-
I imagine it would count as a form of medical excuse in which case yes.
