Chinese state news agency wants a 'de-Americanized world'

  • This has actually already begun. After the revelations of the NSA spying on everyone (monitoring Internet backbones, breaking into and stealing data from Chinese Universities, etc...), a number of countries have really stepped-up against it. Brazil, for example, has called it a [url=http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/sep/24/brazil-president-un-speech-nsa-surveillance]breach of international law[/url] (their president also [url=http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/sep/17/brazil-president-snub-us-nsa]refused to meet with Obama[/url]), [url=http://www.thelocal.de/sci-tech/20131014-52385.html]German telecommunication companies want to use domestic-only connections for email processing[/url], [url=http://voiceofrussia.com/news/2013_07_27/Mass-protest-in-Germany-against-US-intelligence-surveillance-5818/]international protests have taken place[/url], and companies, like mega.co.nz, are beginning to move away from using the US as their HQ to avoid all of this. Just today there was also more Snowden-related material released which showed the NSA has been [url=http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/nsa-collects-millions-of-e-mail-address-books-globally/2013/10/14/8e58b5be-34f9-11e3-80c6-7e6dd8d22d8f_story.html?Post+generic=%3Ftid%3Dsm_twitter_washingtonpost]stealing hundreds of millions of contact lists[/url] globally (also including US citizens), and apparently [url=http://world.time.com/2013/10/14/greenwald-on-snowden-leaks-the-worst-is-yet-to-come/]there is even worse stuff still to be revealed[/url]. So I'm not really sure how anyone can be surprised at or cannot understand the motivations behind the international community's reactions to these things.
