Should master chief die in the last halo game if you think so how should he die
-
He will probably die in Halo 14 with all the Unicorns attacking and what not.
-
Yes during a big battle he has to sacrifice himsf to free the ship from destruction.
plot twist
He wakes up to find his wife Cortana in bed with him and it had all been A dream.
-
IMO he should've died at Halo 3s ending, or at least discontinue his story. That cliffhanger at the end just led to the inevitable sequel: Halo 4...
-
He should die after a QTE boss battle. :P
-
He should die way before the last Halo game.
-
Death by grunt
-
I think in the end they shouldn't really tell whether he'll live, but just leave something to think about. Maybe sort of in the way they did in Halo 3, but tie up a few loose ends before doing so. I imagine him finishing one final battle and being greatly wounded in doing so. He'll stagger up a mountain, put his assault rifle on his back one last time, and see the whole solar system: all that he's saved, and then take a seat against a rock, letting the screen fade to black. This implies that he will probably die eventually from the wound, but he's way too awesome to be seen die.

Edited by II SHABUTIE II: 1/13/2014 3:38:17 AMMy perfect ending for John..... Halo 6 ends with John getting a serious injury that leaves him with no choice but to retire from the physical portion of fighting(at the time we are to believe he is dead). We get acclimated with him in the future titles. Helmet-less John helps us along our missions as a ship commander or some sort of leader. We fight as whoever 343 deems fit after the Master Chief era. Come a couple games after Halo 6 and the last fighting we do with the chief we get ourselves in a predicament. As our current Spartan(we'll say Spartan 118 for convenience). We're battling the enemy and all of a sudden the battle makes it's way to the Infinity. Master Chief is aboard and to this point hasn't been a playable part of the story since Halo 6. As Spartan 118 you're fighting off this invasion against some serious bad guy. This is the bad guy that put chief out of commission in Halo 6. The enemy is fighting his way to an artifact(maybe the Janus Key) on the Infinity. The enemy is strong and basically takes out the entire Infinity. He even kills off the new main character(or so we think). He has missed one main man though. That man is of course the holder of the artifact. That man is Spartan 117. While it is highly suggested that he doesn't take part in combat at this point in time he has no choice. After the enemy rips through the Infinity in searh for the chief and the key mostly everyone dies off and we get a cutscene..... *cutscene* The enemy searching far and wide on the Infinity. The enemy has Prometheans with him and he's relentless in making sure that they find the artifact. The get to a room and notice a man that is dressed in what looks like Master Chiefs armor. That's because it is master chiefs armor and it certainly is master chief. He's back to fight his last fight. If the enemy get's a hold of the artifact humanity is screwed. Chief and the enemy share words. The enemy seems quite shocked that John is still alive. After some words are shared and the "no you can't have the artifact" goes down the fighting begins. Like I said before the Infinity was literally being ripped apart so at this point their isn't much left of it. The fight takes place all over the Infinity. I'm not sure exactly how the fight would be done but it would be epic. The fight would eventually lead us to a situation where the chief stands zero chance. He's absolutely going to lose the artifact and humanity is going to be screwed. *cutscene* Just like bad guys always do instead of grabbing the artifact and leaving he's going to sit around and tell chief how he lacks skills and is nothing but a waste. This is going to give enough time for Spartan 118 to enter the fray shooting the enemy in the face with a sniper round. When the artifact drops chief is going to reach out and grab it. John is going to do the only thing he can do and set the ship into it's self destruct phase as it's now crawling with Prometheans. He's throws the key to 118 as a signal of the passing of the torch and tells him to get out of here. In one beautiful explosion the Chief is gone, most of the Spartan II's are gone, and we have a new Hero. I know, I'm not that great of a writer. I'm glad if you stuck around for the whole thing whether you enjoyed it or not.

I'm really not sure at what should happen. I mean, the guy's gone through so much, you could probably put hell and back 3x over on his list of things he's done. If they were to kill him off, it would either have to be against an enemy he couldn't beat. And he wouldn't go out like *bang poof* either. He'd go out with everything he had, which is a lot. Or, he'd be faced with a truly harrowing decision and the only way to win was self sacrifice, which he's already kind of done, on several occasions. I don't think an ending where he beats the bad guys and retires in the New New Mombassa retirement home would be justified. If he was gonna go in any way, it should be the way of a warrior. That, or we find a way to put him to rest eternally again, except that you know, we leave him off in space this time round.
-
He should get cloned so he doesn't die.
-
He should die trying to find out if Half Life 3 is real
-
Edited by Cappy kill: 1/13/2014 2:49:51 AMHe should die after blowing up the last enemies wether covenant or forerunners and join cortana and live( actually be dead) happily ever after. And it should make me cry like the first time i beat reach :(
-
He should die making a tremendously difficult situation for the greater good of the galaxy, like Bornstellar when he had to activate the Halo Array (although he didn't perish from it).
-
Halo 3's ending was the perfect ending.
-
He should die, but by doing something that is suicidal, but will save many lives or everyone.
-
He should die after an epic boss battle.

I've killed off a lot of characters in many of my stories, plenty of times I killed characters by the boatload, but I've gotten more sparing with how I kill off characters. For a lot of the characters I kill off it's because it's an inevitability of their character arc or because sh*t happens(rarely enough to be a surprise). If it fits Chief's journey I'm all for it and after the end of Halo 4 I could see it happening because all of the things he has seen and done seem to have a large toll. But it has to be a good send off. I'd personally give him a send off similar to Spartacus. However I would have him finish the fight before he dies from his wounds. It simply seems like a fitting send off for him. I realize he's a gaming icon but sometimes I've wished some of my favorite characters died earlier because it seemed more fitting and their eventual fates were disappointing.

Many feels will be had.
-
If the Halo franchise continues going in the direction it has been lately, Master Chief's death will be the least of your worries.
-
I feel like it's almost cliché for the hero to die in stories now, so no. I think he should get a crippling wound that forces him to retire though.
-
Nah, but if it does happen . . . He better be saving the entire galaxy from The Didact, not just Earth.
-
Spartan's never die. Silly goose.
-
Here's what I think might happen, but first this. So we all remember noble six staying behind to operate MAC cannon so he could blow up that covenant cruiser so the Autumn could take off. Well I think chiefs death could be something like that but here what I think. Does anyone remember in reach when Halsey says that without cortana, humanity is already lost. And then in CE when Keyes said that if they got ahold of cortana that the covenant would learn about earth. Well i think that since cortana is gone. The covenant now has an advantage and may be able to launch an attack in earth again, cause i think it was only one attack that happened in new mombasa in halo 3: ODST. So i kinda think that the chief would die to basically somehow save the earth from being taken over by the covenant.

"No- that's not... We go together." dat foreshadowing
-
I hope he dies and gets replaced by a Spartanified Rookie.
-
Now that Halo 3's ending was ruined, yes. Just don't make it too glossy. I hope he dies because it is his choice to die, not his duty as a soldier. This will show that the Chief truly is, at his core, human.
