1. Have a attention getter. All the material in your thread will be wasted since no one is gonna bother with a thread that the titles sounds boring. Usually a title that criticizes peoples world view without actually insulting it will get people going. 2. Your thread body, same as the title. The subject should attack what the reader always thought was right but not in the way that makes it look like a direct insult. This is where most troll bait threads die at. 3. Post only when necessary, time it right so discussion(or flame replies) can continue. Don't actually bump with a post but post as a reply. If your thread is good on it's own, it won't need your help surviving at all.
