• Well, I have a job so the 15$ sub fee doesn't bother me nearly as much as some of these whiners. Play the PC version if possible so there is no additional Live/PS+ pay wall. Pretty much comes down to if you think 15$ is a huge barrier or not.

    • Just because of the price, no.

    • Absolutely. $180 a year isn't something to bitch about.

      • This is like asking if you should buy the same game three times a year at release date price just so you can play with other people.

        • It looks great but I'll wait for the nodding community (or just me) make a way to play offline or co-op with my friends.

        • $15 a month. If WoW is still allowed to be alive like that.. Why can't ESO be allowed?

          • I'm going to give it a shot. The $15/month is a huge detractor and I've never been into MMOs, but I love TES. If it's good, I'll pay. If not, I wont.

          • I'm stuck too, although I really want it, the sub fee is pretty high for a single game IMO, also I don't know anyone who is getting it so I'll probably be playing alone

          • Depends on whether or not you think the 15 bucks a month is worth it.

          • £9/month, but cheaper if you go for multiple month payouts. As far as I know, gameplay is similar to Skyrim but with players and useable siege weapons.

          • It's a question of your budgeting vs. your monthly income, OP. The $15 per month in sub fee won't even come close to touching my bottom line each month, so I'm getting it. I love the world TES is built in, I love the deep RP that the series brings, and the adventures and Quests in the series are second to none. I know for a fact that Zenimax has upheld Bethesda's quality in these aspects, so that was enough to convince me that this will be a great purchase. Not to mention, my beloved Dunmer are nigh perfectly in line with the Lore in the game (this was a huge selling point for me). Ultimately the choice is whether or not that sub fee is going to really make a difference in you posket book, or if your just holding out due to an over-taxed sense of principal. Personally, I'll be in Tamriel come next year.

            • For the price of TESO for a year you could get 4 full priced games. So no.

            • I'm not. ES is one of my favorite series, but I don't want to shell out $60 for the game, and another $15 every month I want to play it.

            • The sub fee is £9.28/$15 a month, so for a whole year just to play the game it will cost £111.39/$180.

              • As a massive elder scrolls fan, I don't want this game. Part of the appeal of the series for me was that I could just go out on my own and get immersed in the world. Exploring The Rift would not feel the same if 'Xx69Sh0tzz69xX' strolled right up to me and started -blam!-ing around.

If you want a watered down Skyrim/Tamriel and have money blowing out of your ass then go ahead!

                  • As a big time MMO player, I would say no. The prices. You spend $60 for the game then add $15 a month for a sub. Plus if your on xbox you got to pay for Live which is another $15. That is $360 a year( not including up front entry fee) . Ridiculous. I play EVE and for 4 unique accounts with 3 characters each totaling 12 individual characters, I only pay $120 a year for all of them thanks to being able to buy in game GTC without spending RL cash. Is ESO fun? I am sure it is. Do I, a MMO player as well as a Elder Scrolls fan want to play it? No

I'd only recommend getting it if you're a person who is in absolute wonder at the Elder Scroll's story/games. Even then... eh. On top of already paying $60 for the game, there is a $15/month subscription. People keep saying that it's no biggy in the long run, but shit stacks up after awhile. That's $240 ($225 for the amazing discount >__>) for the first year that I could be spending elsewhere. The other excuse is that they need the cash for updates, but even GW2 keeps pushing out living story updates every 2 weeks, and it's a one time purchase. So, I'd say go for it if it is something you are absolutely sure about getting. If you're someone who is on the fence, then I'd just call it there and jump ship.

                    • If your a hardcore fan of The Elder Scrolls series or MMOs then I would consider it. But keep in mind that if you play on Xbox One you'll need to pay for Live plus the $15 a month sub fee. I do believe that there were talks on Bethesda's end about not needing LIVE. Not sure if those talk came to fruition.
