I need help with math again..
Solve for x. sqrt(4x+5)-sqrt(x-1)=3

4 RepliesSquare both sides so you get (4x-1)-(x-1)=9 Open parenthesis 4x-1-x+1=9 As the ones cancel each other out 4x-x=9 Subtraction 3x=9 Divide both sides by 3 (3x)/3=9/3 You have solved for x x=3
