Hello all! Is anyone here a percussionist? If so maybe we can start our own discussions an complain about other sections or how the majority of the time we just sit and listen to the band directors lecture trumpets! We'll start with me; I am in 10th grade. I play tenors (quads, quints, etc.) for the marching band. I am section leader. I'd say my best skill is reading rhythms, I'm pretty good at snare, as well as timpani and average on mallets. I just got accepted into the University of South Alabama Honor Marching Band! I am probably going to do All-State this year (I've never been to competition before so I'm kinda nervous) And I've written a couple of cadences for our band! What are your percussion achievements?
