Thrash, death, power, groove, symphonic, speed, deathcore/metalcore (AILD and KSE), black, Viking/Pirate, folk, heavy, speed, progressive, melodeth, etc. Top bands would be Pantera, Lamb of Gpd, Anthrax, Megadeth, Machine Head, Trivium, As I Lay Dying, Mayhem/Burzum, Dark Throne, Dying Fetus, Meshuggah, Job For A Cowboy, Kreator, Dark Sermon, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Gojira, The Faceless, Impending Doom, Whitechapel, Dream Theater, BTBAM, Rivers of Nihil, All Shall Perish, Judas Priest, and Morbid Angel. I listen to pretty much all types of metal, but the majority of metalcore is just over-played, redundant, and bland (IMO).
