There are now more Steam accounts than there are XBL accounts

You could argue that a lot of those Steam accounts could be ALTs, but you can also say the same thing about XBL accounts, since you can make one of those for free as well (although you have to pay for XBL Gold to basically do anything). At least when somebody goes to make a Steam account, unlike on XBL, you don't have to have any money to start playing games right off the bat.

4 RepliesEdited by lonepaul2441: 10/30/2013 8:57:09 PMLets be fair most PC games need Steam to work anyway so people might not even use steam except to play their game, just like Origin boasted about having 40million users yet everybody moaned at them because they where forced users. (hypocrites much?) Also I wonder how many people made multiple accounts to try and scam the competitions for the Steam Box. There is more to the numbers than "Steam is popular".
