DBZ: Do any of you like the Buu saga?

So far I got done watching the episode where Buu kills all the humans and so far it's boring as -blam!-. -The tournament was a joke. I would love to see Krillin and Yamcha have at it. And 18 and Tien have at it. Piccolo VS Supreme Kai or that red guy would have been a good fight, but they had Piccolo pussy out. The only good thing about it was that speech Vegeta did. -The ship was nothing, but a joke. *Pui Pui was just a wannabe Saiyan. *The monster just sucked. *The red guy was over hyped. To me the only thing about him that's a threat is his spit. So to me he's on the same level as Guldo. -The fight between Goku and Vegeta was nothing but talk. -Buu takes no damage at all. Unlike Frieza and Cell which can take damage. Buu just tanks it and regenerates like it was nothing. -Fat Buu did nothing but kill humans and eat them and go "Buu make you dead! Buu make you dead!" -Super Saiyan 3 is the most pointless of the SSJ's. The only thing I like about it so far was Vegeta's speech and his suicide.

  • I like it for the sole reason that Buu was the most fearsome opponent Goku has ever faced. He knew he could not win the battle alone, and if there was hope of saving the universe, it would be only if Goku and Vegeta, being the most powerful fighters in the universe (at that moment) to get rid of their rivalry and unite to save the universe. The fact that they experienced every single horror that Majin Buu created, knew they had to destroy him, whatever it takes. To think that Goku's SSJ3 transformation, what is deemed the best chance for destroying Buu, not even allow Goku to fight on par with Kid Buu. Would you not feel hopeless? That is until they found hope with the Spirit Bomb. Goku knew it was a risky maneuver due to the time it took to create it and how easily the energy could be lost. If Kid Buu were to destroy Goku, hope would be lost. So thinking it was enough to destroy Kid Buu, Goku threw it at him. Kid Buu, to Goku's surprise was able to push back the Spirit Bomb. How would it feel, knowing your only hope of destroying an almost invincible being, fade away in an instant? Irrelevant, but Bruce Faulconer's music in the episode "Spirit Bomb Triumphant" really adds to the effect. It really makes you feel what they feel in such struggle. Though, once Goku received his strength back, he finished Buu for good. To finally put an end to such evil, after witnessing all the destruction and horror it unleashed, it really is a relief to know that everything is now over. After enduring so much pain, you finally get to rest. My feelings for this saga. Though it is kind of boring, the episode "Spirit Bomb Triumphant" makes up for it.
