doesn't matter if you are male or female, this shit is ridiculous. People go by their own rules and if you want to force your rules on others then do so on your own time on your own forum. All you are doing, your "point" is going to attract the sort of attention that I just threw there. It's the internet, the quickest way to get something accomplished is to tell someone not to do it. And oh yeah, this post is sexist, so seeing as how you are male and your post is about not being sexist, you were sexist. Good job.

Yeah because if you go by your own rules and speed what happens. If you go by your own rules and kill people, what happens. You have to understand that there is no such thing as people going by there own rules. If you don't follow the rules that are put into place then you will face the consequences. In this situation if you creep then you get banned. In no point am I forcing anyone to do anything. BTW. What you just threw out there was a sexist comment which is why these rules are needed. I love how many people don't know the meaning of the word Sexist.

There is a difference between rules and laws. Wandering around killing people is against the law. What you have thrown out is your own set of rules and doing so in a manner that is meant to impose your rules on another. Who says if you creep you get banned... you? And what if a girl gamer is creeping on a guy? oh I suppose that is okay. If Bungie instituted these 'rules' of yours, it would require ridiculous man power... oh sorry... 'person' power, and it would turn the game into a nanny state. Sexist: 1: prejudice or discrimination based on sex; especially : discrimination against women 2: behavior, conditions, or attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex Your post violates the 2nd definition of sexist. My original comment is a representation of the behaviour you are going to attract by posting this. This post of yours has become a joke, as have you.

There is a difference because I look at the definitions of both words and they are similar. Don't you find that weird. I mean Microsoft and Sony already implements these rules and it seems to work fine. This is not a suggestion for Destiny or any game. What this is is a a plea for guys to treat female gamers with respect. So I'm being Sexist when I say that we should treat women with respect and that we shouldn't be saying the same things around them as we do with our guy friends. No you're original comment is just really sexist and does not reflect how I feel at all.

Edited by ZeroSeverus: 11/7/2013 8:55:01 PMGet off your soap box. Technically yes, when you single out the male populous and generalize then yes, you are being sexist, by definition. It does not matter your reasoning, you are still being sexist. The only way that you could do a post like this is to say, "Code of Ethics for Gamers" then you have to use general terms like "person". Once you distinguish sex, as male gamers treatment to female gamers, then slap some rules that apply only to male gamers. You have crossed into the realm of sexism. That isn't even a discussion. You didn't say "treat women with respect" you have singled it out to only "female gamers." Now to say "we shouldn't be saying the same things around them as we do with our guy friends." it's the same as saying "It's okay to be racist as long as the race you are being racist against doesn't hear you say it." I know that my original comment doesn't reflect how you feel. That isn't what I said, what I have said repeatedly is that you post is only going to attract that kind of attention.

Yes so me saying that some males are sexist is signalling out the entire male population. How you come to that conclusion I have no idea. Maybe you're just having a hard time reading for any understanding. I didn't say "Code of Ethics for Gamers" because you don't normally deal with girls sexually harassing guys. It's like in health class the teacher doesn't teach guys about periods or menstrual cycles because we don't have to deal with anything like that
Be respectful of them
Those are my words in the original post. Please learn how to read. Wow your logic is flawed. It's never ok to be racist, but it not like it's never ok to tell a sex job around a group of guys, or to talk about sex with you guy friends. So please tel me why would a chick be dying to hear a dirty sex joke our about the time you have sex with this one girl. And It's the same way with guys. I don't want to hear about he period or her trip to the Gyno. If you honestly think that I'm posting this only for attention then please look at the highest rated comment and look at the two threads that I have up there. I don't need any attention.

I realize now that I have you talking in circles because you have no where else to go. I'll continue repeating myself here, when you say "code of ethics for male gamers" you are singling out a populous, Male gamers. If you honestly believe that you you will never have to deal with menstrual cycles as a man you must not have had sisters or a mother... my logic was not flawed, I was using your logic in a different but very similar context. Reading here is not the issue, I can obviously read as I have been responding to you. The issue is being able to decode the information laid before oneself, which is where you having some extreme difficulty as you can not see the irony in your own post and you do not seem to be able to look at anything objectively. Which would speak greatly toward your age and experience. Being young and inexperienced is not an issue, what does become an issue is when you try to disguise your inexperience as wisdom. Why would a 'chick' be dying to hear a dirty sex joke... depends on the woman. why would she want to hear about that time I had sex... depends on the woman. Why not? A womans period is a wonderful thing! I means she isn't pregnant! The Gynaecologist is a wonderful thing! That means her shit is clean! We all need attention, it is what makes us human, seeking validity to our own existence.

This is going nowhere. You will keep on sticking up for the entire male race as whole and continue to say that guys do not have to follow these rules. I have a mother but she normally doesn't tell me about her cycles and why would she. No your logic was FLAWED and FLAWED badly. You tried to compare racism to making dirty jokes. How in the world could you make a leap that big is beyond me. Clearly you can't read because you said that I said nothing about treating woman with respect and that's have clearly been posted. I admit that I'm young but daily I deal with more women then you have to. You have a wife. I have female coworkers, female classmates, a girlfriend, and female teammates. Your life is simple, mines is complex because of the number of people I deal with everyday. I know that MOST girls don't want to hear a sex joke from a random dude. Now sure there a girls out there they wouldn't mind hearing one but I'm talking about the majority here and you're trying to signal out the minority and force them into the Majority and you just can't do that. Ok you're married so you fall into the minority. You have to understand that most male gamers are high school students or in college so please tell me why would a male in high school or college want to hear about a chicks period or there there trip to the gyno. I love how you want to talk for all guys, but you can't because not all guys are married. The one who is grasping for attention here is you.

This is going nowhere because you lack the reasoning capability to take it any farther. You are the one talking in circles, you are the one that lacks objectivity. You are the one that is ill prepared to back up your claims and to defend your stance effectively. Which again, is an age thing, you have a lot to learn in your journey and I hope you learn from it. Here is the logic we are talking about and I will bust it down to it's simplest formate as you have been lost in it. Now to say "we shouldn't be saying the same things around them as we do with our guy friends." it's the same as saying "It's okay to be racist as long as the race you are being racist against doesn't hear you say it." What you claim when you say "we shouldn't be saying the same things around them as we do with our guy friends." 1. You are saying that it is OKAY to make those sexist jokes and remarks when it is just you and your friends. but. 2. You say it is wrong to say those remarks directly to the party those remarks are directed towards, in this case, women. reality. 3.If you are going to say sexist jokes and remarks to your friends but not to the party its about, i.e. women, then you have no right to say those jokes or remarks as is. When I make the analogy of "it's the same as saying "It's okay to be racist as long as the race you are being racist against doesn't hear you say it."" 1. It is saying that it is OKAY to say racist jokes, (racist in place of sexist) so long as it is with your friends and not with the party, in this case, other races (but originally sex). but. 2. It is wrong and to say those racists (originally sexist) comments and jokes to the party that it is directed towards. reality. 3. Racism is bad. Hopefully now I have cleared it up how I made that leap, I realize that this is such a complexed issue that it is beyond the reckoning of mere mortals. Again, I'm not sure how you are making the absolutes, especially about my life in general. I am 26, I go to university, I have 10 in-laws and 40 nieces and nephews. I have female co-workers, classmates and team-mates. If you are saying the life of a parent or spouse is simple, boy, you are going to get an education from life sooner or later. Good, you are dealing with practicality now by saying "Most" not "All" you are learning. I have no problem being your teacher, as you seriously need one. Now, lets take this one step further. Rather then "Most girls don't want to hear a sex joke from a random dude." lets say "most people don't want to hear a sex joke from a random dude." because I can honestly say if some guy walked up to me on the street and told me a sex joke I'd be very concerned. How do you know that the girls who don't want to hear said joke IS the majority? Where is your proof, your own personal experience is not proof, however, it does server towards your opinion which is in your right to have, but you need to start such a charged and absolute statement with, in my opinion or IMO for short, at that point no one can really argue with you. I can say "In my opinion I think Fords and better then Chevy's" that doesn't mean I'm right but I can have that opinion if I like. http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2013-07/05/average-gamer , it is one article from one survey/study but according to that, the average gamer is 35. So again, in your opinion. I already told you why a male would want to hear about a 'chicks' period. when she has a period she isn't pregnant, when you become sexually active this will mean a lot to you. trips to the gyno, nice to hear he shit is in clean working order, because trust me, if a woman comes back from the gyno and says she has warts or herpes I want to know. Just because I got married doesn't mean I became a different species. I can still talk for guys because I still have a penis unless that changed since the last time I touched it. Everyone grasps for attention, I explained that already. Keep up.
