New Jersey has some of the tightest gun control. Including requiring an unconstitutional License *just* to purchase a weapon, Including federal and state background checks, AND multiple mental health references. And that's Just for rifles/shotguns. It's even harder to purchase a handgun. And nearly impossible to get a CHL. But it all failed. It was PURELY by luck. That it was not a bloodbath. The shooter's intent was not to kill people, or even hurt them. He passed by multiple groups of people. Instead of shooting them, he simply fired at other random objects. If he wanted to, he could have slaughtered dozens of people. None of them could protect themselves. Kalifjornia also has some of the tighest ( and unconstitutional ) gun control. Yet it was again by luck that the LAX shooter did not want to kill random people. Only TSA agents. What do we do?
