You're mistaken: Ponies are not baby horses, they're just a smaller breed of equine.
Also, Rainbow Dash and her friends are all around 26 years old. But I concede their maturity level's honestly that of a teenager.
Also, they bare no real resemblance to real horses anyway. They're closer to aliens than animals in all honesty.
