It was looking alright until I pulled it out and realized I put too much flour on the base of the pan. NOW ITS TOO -blam!-ING DRY ON THE BOTTOM. That and I got impatient so I started putting frosting on the cake before it cooled down enough.

flour at the base of the pan? ouch. yeah that is the danger of yummy smelling cake. i havent messed up anything that is story worthy, but my sister has. she thought baking soda and baking power were interchangeable. XD the cake was inedible. rock solid.
