It's okay now. My jimmies are no longer rustled.

Remember that MS owned Bungie. They didn't split cause they liked the way things were. If MS retained Bungie then either Destiny doesn't get made as intended or at all. And if I remember correctly, and I very well could be wrong on this, I thought part of the deal with them splitting was MS got first dibs on whatever they were doing, meaning if MS so desired then Destiny could have been an Xbox exclusive. If this ridiculous blame game is to be played why not be sour at Microsoft? As far as bickering and flaming on the forums, whenever I do show up it doesn't seem any different than 10 years ago. If the Xbox fans weren't getting the game at all then there might be something to complain about. But they are. Your opinions are your own but I've never liked this notion that Bungie's fans are tied to the Xbox. To use some of your own words I'm one of Bungie's biggest fans and supporters over the last 10+ years, loved every game they made for Xbox, and I plan on getting Destiny on the PS4. You want to be irked the platform you're choosing is missing out on some stuff, fine. Just don't take it personally. It's a business. You ultimately have to ask yourself which console better suits your needs as a gamer. But think on this, if Bungie is your favorite developer and their games are your favorites, one console has some exclusive content and a lower price tag to boot. Why not go where your favorite game company goes?

Bungie only had access to about half of the gamer market during Halo. After leaving MS they needed to start planning how to approach the Sony side I'm sure. This is something they have to do because when you become free and have this access to basically all gamers (Wii aside) you kinda have the opportunity to sell more games. If they are as successful as Halo. Look Bungie loves Xbox. Bungie loves Halo. Bungie loves the Halo nation. However, it's time to move forward and for them to market to everybody. I think all the PS love is that they are excited to finally work on a console they have access to. I don't know. Just some of my thoughts on it.

Edited by Nowise10: 11/16/2013 6:23:48 PMAll the nonstop flaming that is on Bungie.net is from the lack of moderation and rules that were "removed" when Bungie.net transitioned and updated awhile back. Never saw this kind of harassment, flaming, and trolling on the old Bungie.net, and if you did, the user would be warned or banned. As an Xbox gamer, I was extremely disappointed with the announcement of the beta being early, and their attention to Playstation users now with exclusive DLC and such. I also went through the 5 stages of grief, and in the end, accepted it. I don't like how a Beta, something that was once used to test their game, is now an incentive for people to buy a console over the other, and they definitely don't feel like the same studio they once were, but what can I do? All in all, you just have to learn to accept it, and if you don't want too, well then buy a PlayStation 4 or don't buy Destiny at all.

You're right

OP needs to grow up and learn how a business works.
The Xbox gamers who haven't left already just get made fun of by the onslaught of new Playstation gamers.
Why is that a problem? It's up to them to take offense, and frankly, with how childish all the insults are, it's pretty hard to take offense. There's a certain point when somebody uses the word "fanboy" often enough that it seems like they've forgotten what that word actually means.

Im gonna guess that this whole playstation thing is an Activision deal, not Bungie. Which makes me wonder what has changed, think back to CoD: Black Ops 2 and the whole storm of rage because Activision made a deal with Microsoft for Xbox360 do get DLCs earlier then then PS3, that in mind, i find myslef wondering if Activision is just trying to even things out by giving this one early to Playstation, that or they genuinly thing the Playstation 4 is the better console. Whatever the go, its gonna be interesting.

BEGINNING TRANSMISSION: (Low melodious hum.) Of course Bungie has changed over the years, as time does that to everything in life. However, they have never turned their back towards the Microsoft community; more appropriately turned their sides towards both Sony and Microsoft so they may both receive equal attention. ENDING TRANSMISSION:

Edited by Prototape: 11/15/2013 11:48:35 PM
These are the people that were around for a time when you did actually listen to their complaints and adjust things accordingly
There's nothing for them to adjust. The only thing I can see adjusting is them focusing a bit more on the Xbox, yet we're still a while away from release, we don't know what they have planned for the future. We also don't know what's going on behind the scenes. We have the disadvantage of being in the dark, which isn't anything entirely new. I can understand why you're upset, but I would give them a little time here to see what else happens down the road. I still feel like they care about the community, mostly based on their involvement with us despite the fact that we can be explosive at times. A lot of developers would disappear when their community would explode, yet DeeJ remained in the main topic to hand out beta codes. You could view that as a desperate attempt to calm people down, but whatever you view it as, the act of doing that represents some amount of care. Otherwise, they were with us through the entirety of being dark, and we get a lot more than most communities do.
And god damn it someone tell me why Joe Staten left!
We were told why, he wanted to move on to do something else. Anything beyond that isn't any of our business.
