I sent this email to the HiRez suggestions email, and would like to know what my fellow Smite players think.
[quote]I want to talk about Sobek, and a great new god idea that i am surprised
you guys haven't capitalized on yet.
First lets take a look at the Warrior class. Only six, and they are all
physical.
Now lets look at Sobek. His abilities do a lot of damage. They are all
generally offensive. His ability revolves around his basic attack. He has
no support potential. If this is the case, why is he a Guardian, or "Tank"
if you will?
My suggestion is to make a Sobek a Warrior, drop his Protection a bit and
raise his base Magical Power, and fill the role of Melee Mag Guardian with
a new god. Who you might ask?
Buddha. I know he isn't exactly a god, and it seems like you have kept from
using current religions in fear of offending some people, but this is just
too great to pass up!
His abilities would be Enlighten, which would buff him and his allies speed
and attack, Absorb, which would absorb the spirits of minions and gods, and
would slow gods, and Expulsion, which is an AoE that, based on the amount
of spirits he absorbed, would do varying amounts of damage. His Ultimate
would be Third Eye, which would allow him to find any ally on the field and
heal 75% of their health, kind of like the opposite of Neith's Ultimate.
Enlighten would be him raising his hands and saying something along the
lines of, "You will see the light!". Absorb would be a cone attack, and
would be him stretching out his arms and clapping them in the middle. If
that is too much like Zhong Kui, you cold make it a line with him
stretching out a piece of his robe and snagging souls. Expulsion could be a
jump attack similar to Bacchus, except he would have a retical similar to
Poseidan's Ultimate. It would be the size of Bacchus' retical, but would
have the the smaller circle inside of the larger circle. Enemies inside the
smaller circle would take damage and get a stun, and enemies in the larger
circle would take the same amount of damage, but would not be stunned.
Third Eye would be him opening up a giant eye on the top of his forehead
and sending a wave over to one of his allies that heals him. To keep this
from becoming OP, there would be a marker over the god getting healed's
head, and he would only get healed once the wave reached him.
His passive ability would be based off the amount of souls he has. Each
soul gives him health regen, and he can hold up to fifteen souls in his
robe.
Now, when it comes to design, clearly you guys know what you are doing, but
I am still going to give you my design suggestions.
I would give him six arms, and big billowing red and yellow robe. Put a
giant closed eye on his head that opens when he uses Third Eye. Have him
wear a bunch of beads around his body, and make him have big legs and feet.
I would make him decent height, about the size of Ymir. Make his voice pack
have a really deep and booming voice that echoes. Also, I would make his
hands really big. Lastly, I know Buddha's trademark is his baldness, but I
would give him a long braided pony tail on the back of his head. Keep the
top, front, and sides bald, but give him the ponytail to differentiate
himself from Vamana.

Also, am I the only getting annoyed with the new bee god. He is the worst to play against!
Let me hear your thoughts and opinions, and voice your suggestions for the game.
Cheers!
