Just going to write my thoughts down here to evaluate whether it sounds interesting or not.
So how it started was it had graphics akin to The Wind Waker HD, the colors were sublime, crisp, accentuated, and fun to look at it. It was Multiplayer somehow, which begs into question if I knew the other "players" that were the dream, or if I'm playing with my alternate personas or something. I was playing from the view of of course the main pink Kirby, and we were at an Ocean environment. Coral Reefs, fish, things like that.
The main thing though, was that it was a 3D environment and not a 2D side-scroller, but when traversing to a new plain on the map, it would switch to 2D for a second to make the transition. Sometimes that lasted a minute or so, sometimes it did not.
There appeared to be a Town to rest at in-between zones, that you could Warp Star back to. For this section, if you've ever seen the Kirby Animated Series that would play on Saturday mornings on 4Kids, it was like that. Houses, characters, places of interest, and the biggest thing I remember was that you could have a sort of Blacksmith customize your abilities, I had a standard Sword ability with the Green hat for mine, and I went there to get it upgraded by various means.
After heading back to the zone, the final boss of the area was an abnormally large Fish like an Angler Fish, as terrifying as that is, image above in the standard place. It could make the zone dark at will, and of course only the lure would appear for a moment. You would have to hide behind nearby Coral and use some of it in the way that you would rise to the top where there was land. After taking a piece of coral from the floor, and throwing it elsewhere, it would strike at where it landed, and then you attack it while it's back was to you.
That's all very in-depth for a dream I imagine, but to anyone that is a fan of the show and read through all of this, I thank you, and I'm interested to hear thoughts if anyone thinks Nintendo will do anything like this with Kirby in the future.

That sounds pretty cool but at the same time might stray to far away from it's roots. It will either be a masterpiece or the black sheep of the franchise.
