Random Wikipedia Attacks
I casually clicked on an article on how they laid fibre optic cables across the ocean floor ... before I knew it is was 3 in the morning and I was an expert on the construction of fibre optic repeaters...
Damn you Wikipedia, cursed whirlpool of my time.

Mostly the histories of companies and manufacturers lol! But the longest adventure I've ever had was when I was researching nearby abandoned mines and towns for a hiking trip some friends and I were planning. (We successful, we found ruins of old towns, open mineshafts, old mill ruins)

When I was at school, I'd usually have done all of my work before the start of lunch so that was a good few hours of time to waste until I could go home. So it was Wikipedia or re-re-re-re-re-reading my textbook for the 14th time... So I spent hours and hours just looking up everything I could think of that I wanted to know more... So. Much. Semi-Useful. Knowledge. Wan Shi Tong ain't got nothing on Wikipedia. o.O

I spent about 5-6 hours chasing links about Plutonium once. I actually remember more from that day than I do from lectures on similar subjects.
