These people were contracted to help design the original Xbox. Industry professionals, they've given (from a design standpoint) what I consider to be the most objective review of the console to date.

I'll be very interested in how they critique the Xbox One.

Good read. There's a lot of things I like about the PS4's design, like the slant and the separation in the middle, but the gloss/matte combination does not sit well with me. I agree with them on the controller though. It almost looks like they simply stretched out a DS3 and then decided to slap a touchpad in the middle while changing some colors around. The original Xbox 360 Elite still is the best looking modern console imo, although the Slim comes close.

The comments section is a slew of fanboy circle-jerks and ad hominems. How repulsive. OT: The article was insightful, and quite agreeable too. Good job, Xbox guy.

Good read, although I could sense that they got slightly bias at the end.

You can practically smell that fanboyism below in the comments

So did they design that monstrosity of a controller that released with the original Xbox? If so they don't have much room to talk about the DS4 lol.

They dared to even hint that they disliked anything about the design of the ps4. They've obviously been paid off by Microsoft and are extremely biased against Sony.

Nice, good read.

Thnx Nox Good Read

That was a good article. My only problem was - as I understood it - they seemed to say the controller had good changes (as in the size, the joysticks, and the triggers) but towards the end they said it seemed less iconic and like clay that's been molded too much. To me it sounded a little contradictory; however, they could have meant the shape and color of the controller which does seem to have changed. All-in-all it sounded like a very fair critique and I also can't wait to see what they have to say about the Xbox One.
