So, every time I keep hearing that we only use a fraction of our brain's power, and some humans have managed incredible stuff, with that fraction.
But what if we used our brain to its full potential? A hundred percent. What abilities would we gain? What things could we do that we wouldn't be able to do using only a fraction of it? Would there be any cons?

That is the percentage rationed out to abstract thought, the rest goes into managing the body and ensuring you don't die while you're asleep because you forgot to breathe. This is actually why sleep is so vital, it allows your brain to downsize the amour rationed out to abstract thought, and physically rejuvenate the body in utter stillness. Due to the fact that you don't have to move, or think about very much, your body can repair itself and ration chemicals more evenly. So you do use 100% of you brain, but if it was all dedicated to abstract thought, you would be so focused on making your own heart beat that you wouldn't be able to think things up at all.
