Since we took all the freedoms when we left.

I don't think that British people, or any nationality are made of jelly. We all seem to be made of a bunch of things, some of which has the consistency of jelly, but some things which are certainly not at all jelly-like. Also, I dion't think physical characteristics are at all dependent on abstract categories or notions. I'm pretty sure its generally the other way around. So even if people were made of jelly, it would have nothing to do with a reaction to perceived "freedoms" (which by definition in a society are limited in all circumstances no matter where you are) you or people who live in another place have towards each respective metric of "Freedom". Pointless pedantry FTW! Baited, but not caught.
