I'm going to be honest with you guys and say that our society promotes firearms and shooting each other with them way too much.
We have dedicated facilities where we pay admission to hunt each other down and shoot each other.
The thing I realized about laser tag is that little kids can start playing at younge ages. I was ten or eleven when I first played, I'm ashamed to say.
ill admit I was and still am a bit of a Tomboy.
there was so many children running around shooting each other. I was in a daze. The time flew by in minutes, some kids resorted to shoving and other physical violence and others cried in defeat.
Is this the message we are trying to teach kids? That hunting others down and shooting them is alright? It happens in paintball too but a bit more painful.
So the next time there is a mass shooting and you find yourself wondering what sort of crazy shoots a school up for fun... Remember, you're the kind of person who would pay to hunt some one down and shoot them.

Nice bait, you almost got a legitimate response out of me. From your post alone it tells me you have never gone paintballing, airsofting, or maybe even lazertagging. All in all, you still have a very sheltered mindset. I can't wait for you to actually get out in the real world and realize its not sane rational kids that do these school shootings, which are very rare, but mentally ill people. Insane people are insane, they need medical help, it sure wasn't lazertag that inspired them to shoot up a school, it was those little voices in their head. Aw, look at that, you did get a semi-legitimate response out of me after all.

I enjoyed it, I'd still be doing it every weekend if I was up to running around and bayonetting 10 year olds with the butt of a laser gun. Aim for the eyes with the shiny lights as well >:D The way I see it, people enjoy hunting each other and 'killing' each other. It's better they do it with Airsoft, Paintballs or Lasers than with real firearms.
-
I'll bite. You know all those mass shootings? They all have something in common... The shooters are MENTALLY ILL. Playing lazer tag didn't do shit to turn them into a shooter, the voice inside their head did. Too bad society is too -blam!-ing stupid to treat the real problems, instead excuses are made every where they can be. We treat the symptoms and not the disease.

You're taking it much too seriously, that says something coming from me. Violence perceived is not violence received. Just because someone might play a violent or aggressive thing, which nearly every sport ever invented could be along with dozens of other things, doesn't mean it's going to warp someone into a killing machine. What actually causes shootings is a lack of awareness about Mental Health because the United State's views on it are very underdeveloped. People with impaired mental faculties are often found to be the one's that cause those issues. Some part of their brain did not develop properly, like centers that maintain empathy and foresight(the ability to think about what an action might do), oftentimes impacts those people. That's why you often hear from people related to or knowing of someone that does a shooting, that they say "He/she never seemed like someone to do that, this was so sudden." When it's not actually, people just aren't paying attention to someone's changes mentally. That's all that needs to be done, otherwise playing Dodgeball or Laser Tag will never make you want to harm someone all by itself.
