I'm not very far into it, but it seems to be holding up as a pretty fun game. The story (at least to where I'm up to) is on par with other FPSs.
I thought I read that it was only good for the graphics, but I'm really not seeing that.
Anyone have an opinion on it?

I watched an LP of it. The only thing it has going for it is the graphics.
-
It's a generic sci-fi rooty tooty point and shooty. The only thing that separates it from the rest of its generic run of the mill trash is a massive marketing budget.
-
My only problem with that game was
the free fall to helgan.
other than that it was an OK game.
-
The story is horridly written and the level design gets really lazy later on.
-
I believe this is a fair review.

I thought it was a good game. There are a couple parts that should have been left out of the campaign (you'll know them when you see them). Other than that solid single player, great multiplayer. As for the hate well, its a Sony exclusive and you're on bnet. Do the math.

You get what you pay for with a spunk-gargle-weewee game.

Doesn't do anything next-gen in its gameplay. Kind of treads the same line shooters have been treading for years. Also, it's not just Killzone. This year's Battlefield and Call of Duty installments have received some similar criticisms. But it's not bad by any means. Just nothing new.

Favorite FPS series. Killzone 2 is the best one though.

I enjoy the mulitplayer.

Great graphics, linear and generic FPS gameplay. Absolutely forgettable protagonist. (Echo was nice, though) Multiplayer is fun. The "beef" people have with it is that it doesn't really deliver a "next-gen" performance. It plays like a game from 2005.

It's visually appealing, but not much else
