The short answer is yes. If this game is as promising as it looks, then I believe a lot of good, competitive players from halo will make the switch to destiny, causing a new dark age for all the thumbless players with no hand-eye coordination. Muahahaahhaaa
Prepare yourselves.

semi-joking ;) - A new community of players will thrive in Destiny and the game will foster new gamers that embrace Destiny mechanics. New faces, new "pros", new heroes. - In the end you'll have a new Bungie community made up of old "vets" that adapt to the changes alongside new competitive players "born" in Destiny. - The end result will be a good mix of both. Sort of a FPS melting pot of gamers. Anyone who honestly thinks the entire Halo community will simply copy/paste into Destiny is fooling themselves. There will be earlier adopters, sure. But there will also be those who refuse to step away from Halo... both literally and ideologically. Which is fine. It gives everyone the opportunity to find a "home" in Destiny.
