Cortnan is a big fan of halo and a skilled user of Photoshop. She has an incredible talent to live through characters and use glow to her advantage. A friendly artist that loves a large variety of games including Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us.

It wouldn't be right for me not to mention someone who I have a great deal of respect for as a person and as an Artist. That would be Bungie's resident pixelsmith Lorraine McLees (aka: Mehve). She's been creating and designing Bungie characters since Oni (long before Halo) and is who created the look of the Master Chief. One of my most memorable evenings ever was sitting with her, her husband Robt, a couple of other ninja and watching them both speak passionately about their various creations. Her tales of how MS execs "didn't get" who/what the MC was and why he looked the way he did? Great story. Plus, she's recently done something cool for one of her boys, who happen to have one of the coolest mom's on the planet.

Edited by Lord Decitron: 1/19/2014 10:21:58 PMFrank Frazetta, one of the classic masters. Can't be beat for when you want that feeling of mystery and classic heroic imagery. Roger Dean, creator of some of the most wonderfully imaginative landscapes ever known. (I know I'm going to be chased down with pointy sticks which my be on fire for this) Rob Liefeld for his unabashed (if possibly unintentional-ish) use of conservation of detail, distortion of anatomy, and diversity of design to inject a stylization that was actually fairly popular and emulated in it's hay-day, and has elements of which are still found in comics today for emphasis on the ideas behind characters over the practicality of them. I'm sure I'll think of more in a bit after I elude the angry mob that will undoubtedly want my head for saying Rob Liefeld is good/ cool.

I liked Rob Liefeld quite a bit back in the day, but I liked Jim Lee a bit more in that early 90's dynamic shift in comic book art.
-
Jim Lee is pretty rad, too. It saddens me greatly whenever I see Cyclops and he doesn't have his Jim Lee design.

enquaynay's youtube This artist is a fantastic animator. A fan of portal and several other fandoms she adds a lot of character to her art. Here is her blog linked to her art section With a sort of bouncy style of animating and drawing, I find her to be extremely inspiring. Take a look!

johnsonting Excels in military style sci-fi mech suits. Open for commissions. Great strokes and imagination.

http://www.goodbrush.com/ Craig Mullins is IMHO, a god. He has such control over light and shade, can imply incredible detail with a single swath/stroke, and his work is capable of giving the audience an emotion, an idea, or the ability to inject an entire story (with the viewers imagination) into a character, scene or landscape. The fact that he's been Bungie-associated since Marathon (and did the work from which my avatar is taken)? It may mean that I am biased, but I believe that anyone who browses his work will be as impressed as I am.
