It was a bright orange light floating in the sky. There was no strobe lights and no other jets/planes in the area to be seen. But I don't live in Los Angeles. I live an hour and a half north, in Bakersfield. This must have been a really big object of some sort.
I saw the same exact light in the sky a couple months ago in the same spot.
Apparently, it was seen across parts of California.
What could it be?

ALOENS

ALIENSSSS!!!!!!!

it's a really really bright planet. or a star. or a side-effect of that government-approved-and-irradiated leg o' lamb you had earlier.

Was it.... The sun?

I've had my own experiences here in Montana.

Ball lighting mate, look it up :) It doesn't diminish the coolness of it either, it's quite rare!

It was me... Watching you, how did you see me?

Well Catalina Island has a lot of UFO activity . . But Bakersfield is pretty far north from there . . Looking at the video they look like they could be Chinese lanterns, especially towards the end of the video . . But if they are real UFO's, MIB http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men_in_Black.

You see the swap gases from Florida were brought by a heavy light cold warm front that went all the way to California which made the lights.

Drone

I live -blam!-ing here...well I don't look out my window at night much...but still damn.

Chinese lantern?

Hey I saw some of those too when the fireworks went off over here in 'straya. And they moved in and out of sight behind one of the small islands near the coast I was at. I kind of dismissed them as some side effect of the fire works but those ones in the video stayed around a lot longer so I am a little more concerned now.
