What Exactly happens when you die? Do you lose some xp or some glimmer? Do you have the view of one of you're teammates, in 1st or 3rd person, or is there a flying cam? Do you die in real life?

What else only you get t-bag'd from some ugly looking alien creatures
-
As long as we don't suffer the same way we do in Dark Souls then I don't -blam!-ing care.
-
Everytime you die in destiny, God kills a kitten...
-
You see a light, but then it gets really hot and a large horned man starts -blam!- you...FOREVER.
Do you die in real life?
Hahaha it's not going to be like SAO
lol jk Deej is actually Kayaba Akihiko, don't tell anyone tho
Well someone already beat me to the "You die in real life" jokes but I'm just going to leave this here. It's funny.
-
If you die in the matrix, you die in real life. The body cannot live without the mind.
-
Ya can't die in real life unless u love halo 4 then I guess.....
-
Yep pretty much die in real life
-
Pretty sure u die in real life haha

I'd prefer some events, depending on rewards and difficulty, to be only available at certain hours with limited number of tries (ex: whole team dies, Sorry, try again later). It would make surviving feel that much more meaningful. It's ok to challenge the players, I don't want to see people just charging in; dying (rinse; repeat), it would break immersion Ya feel me?

I have a theory that if you are playing by yourself you respawn at your last save or checkpoint. When you are playing with other players, such as your friends, you either have to be revived by your friends or if you all die then you will all respawn at the last save or checkpoint.
-
You call the cops and they take you to the hospital and some hot chick gives you CPR.
What Exactly happens when you die? Do you lose some xp or some glimmer? Do you have the view of one of you're teammates, in 1st or 3rd person, or is there a flying cam? Do you die in real life?
No your ghost comes out and hovers mid-air. If your fellow guardians interact with it they can revive you. If you're alone you get restarted at the nearest checkpoint.
-
Bungie have said there are checkpoints (at least for strikes or raids I can't remember which) so if you entire team dies and you are unable to revive (which probably has a timer) you'll just respawn at the checkpoint or before an event trigger.

Edited by ch33zy burrito: 1/9/2014 11:11:40 PM
What Exactly happens when you die
You just die as far as we know.
Do you lose some xp or some glimmer?
As of now, no.
Do you have the view of one of you're teammates, in 1st or 3rd person, or is there a flying cam?
Also unknown although my guess is you have a re-spawn time until your friend revives you, if not you re-spawn at your base/tower.
Do you die in real life?
Yes. Your body is then disposed of by interstellar space leprechauns, which will then turn you into glimmer, but it will be a half-assed job because the leprechauns aren't getting paid enough by the traveler.
do you die in real life
you beat me to it

When you die in Destiny, the thing that kills you tbags you, and/or dances on your dead body. PERFECT EXPLANATION
-
You have to buy a new copy.

Allah makes you smoke his cock meat

You never die ... watch the wolf vidoc. Squads of enemy, many behind cover/shields - all armed with a wide range of weapons. Versus three of our heros, standing on open ground, in close quarter and armed with single short pistols. And without friendly fire, I am guessing that you NEVER die - could be part of the requirements of the general/kiddie rating but ...
-
You die in real life. I can confirm. Why do you think we only hear from the tester a few times. They die shortly after either because of Destiny or the Webmaster's rage.
-
You revive in a cathedral, obviously.
-
I really hope a Guardian doesn't have to revive you every time. Cause I'll be waiting till some random Guardian comes up to revive me.
