Those of you with Windows 8 know that Chrome has an option to "Relaunch in Windows 8 mode", where it runs as an app separate from the Desktop. It's the same browser, just full screen and a little more touch-friendly. With this update, Google is turning Chrome into more of an environment than "just" a web browser. When you run it as a separate app, it actually launches a windowed environment, complete with Chrome apps and taskbar. It's like launching a separate desktop on your desktop (yo dawg). There's a surprising amount of functionality, considering it's technically just an app. While most "apps" are just web shortcuts, they launch in separate windows so you can't tell the difference.
If you're like me and spend most of your computer time using Google services, this could be useful. It's certainly better than trying to manage tabs in a web browser-- even if you're technically doing the same thing.
I'll go ahead an inb4 this: "lol launching one useless OS in another"
