Never played it. I hear the game is really frustrating from friends and I don't play games to be frustrated. I play to have a good time so despite there being numerous sales of Dark Souls on steam I've declined them all.

The only reason it is frustrating on the PC is because the port was bad. The xbox or ps versions are super fun

Ur doing it wrong if ur not playing with gamepad on PC. besides the mouse and kb, plays exactly like console. Especially after you do the resolution mod patch. Have the devs fixed that issue yet? Or is it still mod patch?
