Everybody today has no excuse for smoking. Everybody knows about the adverse effects it causes. So why do we pay taxes for smokers' health insurance? They aren't going to get any better. In fact, you could think of it as slow suicide. Since suicide is illegal, we should be throwing smokers in an institution, not supporting their habits. I say if you choose to smoke, fine, but don't expect us to pay for your insurance when you get cancer.

I hate paying for car insurance because I've never been in a crash.

Since it has recently been made clear that health insurance is all about "having everyone, including the young and healthy, paying (into the pool) for something they don't feel they need at this time in order to help pay for those who DO need it", I'd say that pretty much invalidates any argument against cherry picking conditions, diseases or afflictions. Why should I (as a male) pay for a policy that has coverage for things that I will never have a need for? The answer (I am told) is that "it's only fair, now shut up and write the damned check".

Should we stop paying fro drinkers insurance? Or skaters? Or sky divers? Or hunters? Or people who like junk food? Or people who have pit bulls? Yawn, i know its a troll post, but still.
