So PS4/PC users aren't double charged. Xbox One users are.

Edited by BannedCommando: 1/29/2014 8:51:04 PMUnless MS does the same thing and changes their policies Sony is going to own them. It's like MS wants people to buy a PlayStation. The only thing MS has on them is a better a online service other than that Sony owns. Sony: Better hardware. PS+ owns that joke known as games for gold. They allow cross-play. Unlike MS which is like North Korea. It's opinions on which are better, but Sony has a lot more first party. With last gen Sony kept getting new IPs. MS on the other hand was nothing, but Halo, Gears and that racing game for the last some years.

Edited by Spooky Jarl Maiq: 2/21/2015 7:51:48 AMI don't see how that game is going to be fun...the gameplay looks awful.
-
Who doesn't already have gold or PS+? Lol. Nobody is paying extra. If you're playing online you are already paying for it.
-
Too bad it doesn't matter since noone's getting it.

Edited by TheHouse: 1/29/2014 10:34:37 PMNot really OP. Anyone who is going to be ESO will likely already have Xbox Live Gold. There is only one, rare scenario where this is somewhat shitty, and even then its an entirely avoidable situation (will explain in detail later), but that scenario is if you were going to buy an Xbox One just for ESO. The whole reason you bought the Xbox One, just for that game alone. Why is that the only situation possible? Well lets rule out other possible scenarios: 1. You never use an Xbox Live sub with your Xbox One anyways/you only use your Xbox One without XBL sub. -Nope! Why? Cause the only thing you can do with the XB1 without XBL is watch movies or play games offline. Thats it! And there very few games out where a lack of XBL sub doesn't affect it. If you are doing anything different with your XB1, then you already have gold. This scenario is even more scarce than the aforementioned... has to be. Thats really the only other scenario where this would suck. Both would be really rare cases, and both are entirely avoidable. If you only want ESO (and no other games on XB1), don't get it on Xbox One. Get it on PC/Mac/PS4. (Just for clarification, if you only want a console JUST for ESO, yes PS4 is better, however I doubt a large player base will be doing this.) Likewise, if you are mainly an offline gamer, don't get the Xbox One; or start being an online gamer. Xbox One is a connected system and is designed around Xbox Live. Having one without the other is simply redundant. TL;DR: The only way this news sucks is if you are one of the extreme minorities in which you only want an Xbox One for ESO; or use your Xbox One without Xbox Live. Both of those unlikely situations are also entirely avoidable.
-
This would be great if ESO was the only online game in existence.
-
Its not really a difference between PS4 and XB1. Most PS4 owners are going to have PS+ anyways for other online games. So, it basically just makes Playstation look better while adding very little benefit.
-
Not like PS Gamers would save money from this. They're already going to be paying for PS+ for all of the other games that they'll be playing right alongside TESO. Not Sony's going to discount you PS+ fee for the time you spend playing TESO. Microsoft isn't forcing ZOS to charge a sub fee. MS and Sony have every right to charge for their services. If I were MS, I would keep charging as well. Sony is doing this as a shadow-discount because theyknow that they've already got your money.

Edited by Infiltrat0rN7: 1/29/2014 5:42:00 PMAn accurate representation of TESO
-
So how about we should boycott the Xbox One version
-
Don't care. Not getting that lore-breaking POS anyway
-
The only way I would get it anyway is if it is REALLY REALLY GOOD!!
-
Edited by A Saturnalia: 1/29/2014 5:04:20 PMDon't you have to have PS+ to play online? And ESO has online in the goddamn fucking title
-
>TESO
-
-
Lol Xbox just wants your money.
-
Great! So what about all the other awesome games you won't play online because of a $5 monthly charge? Or did you spend $400 for ESO?
-
Eh. The game will bomb anyway.
-
People complaining at Microsoft why exactly? They didn't decide to make TESO P2P, all online games require Xbox Gold, Bethesda knew that when making the game so go complain at them.
-
If anyone was interested in playing online games though, they'd have ps+ anyways
-
Not sure you can consider that double charged. Anyone on PS is going to already be paying the online fees. MS has every right to continue to charge for Gold. I would...and I don't mind paying it. Not sure if I'll pick this up on ps4 or x1, if I get it, but still. I pay for gold and ps plus anyway. Doesn't matter to me and won't matter to the overall majority. This game will likely lose the sub fee anyway. It will die on console with sub attached.
-
Okay. I'm still planning on getting both.
-
Add insult to injury.
-
As if anyone is going to buy this game anyway.
-
People own ps4's without having PS+ That's news to me

Can you guys stop making multiple threads about the same thing? I already posted this a few hours ago. Do you guys even use the search feature before making a thread?
