In the end, I agree with you. As much as I hold PC gaming close to my heart (I was originally a PC gamer), I doubt consoles and PCs could ever be on a level playing field. I prefer to play my games competitively, but with a level playing field when it comes to the hardware. Trying to keep pace with an ever advancing technological basis is too difficult for me. Still though, Playstation vs Xbox would be pretty sweet! I never liked the idea of only being able to play with certain friends.
