Texting has destroyed youth. A lack of a physical social life deteriorates our abilities to have an intimate face to face conversation, and can develop poor habits and disrespect amongst our society. If you are too shy to talk to her, and decide to resort to texting in order to avoid looking her in the eye, you might not be able to build up enough confidence for important events in your life. I recommend an actual conversation, if it doesn't go well, learn from your mistakes. Don't think less of yourself. Easier said than done of course, but it'll help in the long run.
