Personally, I'm not a very big fan of abstract art, so it's not really my thing. Compositionally, on the other hand, it's pretty well done. Good variety in color, shape, and form without throwing a damn rainbow on the thing. That being said, there may be a bit too much of a rainbow scheme, and I personally would have left at least one more color out, maybe the greens? The cool background colors are pretty well balanced by the warmer colors in the foreground. The focal point (largest burnt hole) isn't in the exact middle of the painting, and appears to be following the rule of thirds from top to bottom. Variety in the size of the holes keeps the focal point from being lost, but also keeps it from standing out too much. The wavy texture in the cool colors keeps it all tied together, and I personally like that texture.
