Outlast on PS4 - My Experience
Hey how are y'all doing? I just wanted to share my excitement with y'all for Outlast on the PS4. It's a currently free download for all Playstation+ Members. In my opinion it's worth a full $60. I personally love horror type games, and there are few and far between in today's market. When I saw Outlast was releasing I instantly gained excitement. Upon release I told my friend , who loves horror games but doesn't yet own a PS4, to watch a live stream and share this experience. We both screamed and got freaked out plenty through the amount of time we played the game. The experience is best with a dark room and surround sound. The main characters heavy breathing, hand motions when approaching objects, and many other features really help me get into the story. It's an incredibly immersive horror game. The darkness is real and your only defense is night vision on the camera you carry. The game is non-combative, in the sense that you cannot fight back against the insane and deformed inmates within the asylum. All in all I love this game and am extremely released to play a horror game in this empty genre. I loved it and would like to hear y'all's experience or opinion on this and other horror games. I played about 30 minutes of it tonight. I never get scared watching movies, and it's hard to even scare me in real life. But I actually jumped and got chills playing this game. So freaking awful. All of you gots to play it!

4 RepliesI think it's awful. Hiding instead of actually fighting back is stupid and the ai is so damn predictable. Knowing the bad guy is going to search everything in the room [i]except[/i] the spot where you are takes away all the scariness.

First part to make me jump. thought he would stay put after i already walked past him once. i wasnt ready.[/spoiler] I have surround sound headphones and i felt like my character was going to wake the dead just by walking on squeaky floor boards. Definitely a good, freaky game.

5 RepliesI agree with you! Love a good horror game. Never had issues playing Ambesia, any Dead Space ( not counting 3 here) or a classic Resident Evil game ( 4 or earlier).
