So I was thinking: if there were a Holy Grail War with the Servants being made entirely up of anime/manga characters, who would be the best characters to make the most interesting Grail War? So far I have (with explanations): [b]Saber:[/b] Togame (Katanagatari): Her NP would be Shichika himself, seeing as he is her sword. Shichika would be the 'real' Servant (the one who does all the fighting) and Togame would essentially be a proxy Master. [b]Archer:[/b] Mami (Madoka): Her gun ability looks almost identical to GoB, so it is a nice fit. Choosing anyone with a gun would kinda diminish the role, but since her abilities are so similar to UBW/GoB it works well. [b]Lancer:[/b] Rei (NGE): She'd use the lance of Longinus. Might seem rather underpowered at first but she honestly would be one of the most powerful of them all with the lance. Not really many characters to choose from with Lancer. [b]Rider:[/b] Simon (Gurren Lagann): Lagann being his Noble Phantasm and Mount. And he also fits the requirement for the Rider class of being the ultimate bro. (Kamina could also work, I suppose) [b]Caster:[/b] Esdese (Akame ga Kill): I doubt many have read AgK here, but Esdese is basically an insanely powerful soldier that has multiple ice related abilities. She would definitely be a deviation from normal Casters - She'd probably be one of the most powerful fighters in the entire War. Plus her personality (sadistic, loves killing) would be an interesting conflict between some of the other Servants. [b]Berserker:[/b] Shinobu as Kiss-Shot (Monogatari), under the pretense that she is summoned as the version from the alternate-reality where Araragi is killed by Black Hanekawa. I'm not so sure about this one. Shichika could also work here. [b]Assassin:[/b] Zero as C.C. (Code Geass): The idea is that since the Assassin class usually summons 'names' instead of people, C.C. would be summoned as Zero. Theoretically the Grail would be summoning Zero, and since she has acted as Zero in the past, she had a chance to be summoned (Suzaku and Lelouch being the other two that could have been summoned). Her Noble Phantasm would allow her to give Geass to her Master, and the idea would be that her Master would do most of the work (think Kiritsugu). Perhaps she also has an ability that makes it so she cannot die unless her Master dies first (mimicking her immortality in the series). Anyone have any other suggestions? Also who would be good for Lancer/Archer?
