Harmonix announced today their new FTP project, a first person "music-driven" shooter for Steam. No live gameplay yet but it might interesting to see where this goes.
Looks like it could be heavy on dubstep, though the idea itself seems kinda cool. I'm still wanting to see Rock Band 4 on next gen. Thoughts?

Oh boy - just got an alpha code. Hit me up on steam (dibbs089) and I'll Kayne west (there better be a death by auto tube option) all over your ass.

Lol I don't really listen to dubstep but this was awesome! That lady totally blasted his face....with music!!!

dis i like.

It'll be interesting to see where this goes, but I'd like to see gameplay first. Then again, I liked the last game that featured a dubstep gun...

The concept seems pretty interesting. From what I read, it will be more than just shooting music at each other, which is good. This game will need to stand out from other arena shooters (which look to be coming back in force on PC). After PAX, I definitely plan on setting back a huge bit of money aside to finally build a gaming PC. Really interested in seeing how this turns out. If it turns out well, I'll definitely buy it when I can.

I like the designs of the levels, weapons, and characters, excluding the human bits.

"Music is your weapon" "Sound is your arsenal" "Dubstep is your salvation" WUBWUBWUBWUBWUB Who's funding this project, Skrillex? Well at least they have an accurate representation of the pain exposure to dubstep induces albeit in glitter infused explosions.

why don't they just buy up Beat Hazard and combine the two, so you can use whatever music you want, no mods necessary? of course that assumes privately rent-able servers.

>bro-tier dubstep

Edited by GammaF88: 2/18/2014 12:20:23 AMLooks really cool, sounded pretty cool, up until a terrible bass drop. I'm serious, this could possibly be one of greatest original ideas for a game, but if all the music is going to be like that, I think I'll pass. Heck, they should've just pulled some Dancefloor Blues. I mostly listen to classic rock and 'dubstep' (as a very general term), so I'm not hating on the genre, just the specific musical style used in this trailer.
