One of my friends is really hung up on her ex and today she really started crying because she saw him holding hands with another girl or something ridiculous.
It has been a month now since their breakup and they were dating for nearly a year. Maybe 11 months or something.
I think she's over-reacting but maybe I'm wrong and a month is too soon to start dating another?

Depends on a lot a factors.

Edited by MoReCoWbELLx2x1: 2/20/2014 5:03:07 AMShe has no room to cry (unless he broke up with her). But if she broke up with him, then she has no room to cry. Because she ended it. But if it's the former, then I feel sorry for her.

If she feels that way then she feels that way, it's better than just picking up with the next person that blows through the door. She'll be fine in the end, since she seems to care and her relationships actually mean something at a deeper level.

Damn brah you're in the friend zone.
-
too soon? nah.
-
is she hot?

1 month seems kind of fast, but it was probably the reason he broke up with her. He was probably attracted to this one girl and started having feelings for her. It is only high school though so it really doesn't matter.

If it is over, then why does it matter how long they wait before moving on? Pro-tip
It does not matter, only reason people wait is because they still have feelings for their ex. If those feelings are gone then it is k
Was it a really messy breakup? Because that may explain her reaction. But yeah, if it's over, it's over. Both of them can start seeing other people as soon as they want. It's all a matter of how long it takes to get over that person.

Edited by petitminuo: 2/20/2014 3:03:23 AMIT'S OVER BETWEEN THEM, HE CAN GET WITH WHOEVER HE WANTS, WHENEVER HE WANTS. EVEN IF SHE MISSES HIM SHE HAS TO ACCEPT HE HAS MOVED ON WITH HIS LIFE IF A COUPLE BREAK UP AND THE DUDE HOOKS UP WITH ANOTHER GIRL LITERALLY 1 MINUTE LATER, HIS EX HAS NO REASON TO THINK HE'S DOING SOMETHING BAD, WHY? BECAUSE IT'S OVER

its long enough. bitch just needs to let it go.

It's been five weeks since my girlfriend of 18 months broke up with me. If I saw her holding hands with another guy, I would watch the light leave his eyes as I strangle him.
-
It takes as long as the individual needs.
-
Why does it matter? 1 day is too long.

He's a whore.
I'm being serious. You don't just get with someone right away unless you stopped caring way before hand or are that emotionally fragile.
I don't think there is a too soon or too long amount of time after separation, before seeing someone else. Seems he was ready, and she wasn't ready to let go. Not much can be done, got to move on.
